Titanium Security Series

New Release: Marked

Yay, it’s summer! Here in North America, just in time for Canada Day and the Fourth of July, the first book of my new Hostage Rescue Series is out! This
one features sexy FBI Special Agent Jake Evers, whom you might remember from the
Titanium Security Series.

When danger lurks behind a familiar
face…

Successful architect Rachel Granger loves her job and her
life, but when a terrorist on the FBI’s most wanted list targets her, there’s
only one man she can trust. She hasn’t seen Jake in years but her former college
friend told her he’d always be there for her and she definitely needs him now.
Even though her feelings for him go far deeper
than friendship and just being around him risks her heart, she would do anything
to keep those she loves safe from a madman bent on unleashing hell.

Only one man from her past can
help

FBI Special Agent Jake Evers made the biggest mistake of his
life when he let Rachel slip through his fingers over two years ago. It doesn’t
matter that he hasn’t seen her since then—if she needs him, he’ll be there. When
he learns that she’s the target of a domestic terror cell, he’ll do everything
in his power to keep her safe. He’s never gotten over her and won’t risk losing
her again now that she’s reappeared in his life. But the threat is more
widespread than they realized and now it’s a race against time to keep her and
scores of innocent civilians alive.

This series will have at least four books, but
possibly more. Unlike my previous series, each book will focus on a separate
operation with its own unique villain/crisis. I’m working on book 2 of the
series right now and hope to release it in late summer.

Hope you enjoy Jake and Rachel’s
story!

Also, for those of you who have asked, there are two
Bagram Special Ops Series
books currently available in print: Deadly Descent (book 1) and Danger Close (book 4, which I self published). The
remaining two books in the series are only in digital and audio formats right
now, but I’m crossing my fingers and toes that my publisher, Carina Press, will
put them out in paperback format one day as well.

Happy reading!

Rekindled is Live!

I have so much to share with you this post! Okay, here goes…

First off, Rekindled is officially live on Amazon. It will appear in the near future on Barnes & Noble, Kobo and iBooks (Apple), and in paperback as well. Woot! I’m so excited for you to read Alex and Grace’s story.

Secondly, I’ve bundled the first three books of the Titanium Security Series, for those of you who prefer box sets. This first set includes Ignited, Singed and Burned, for $5.99.

Thirdly, I’ve received the rights back to 4 of the 5 books in my Suspense Series, and have revised them. Some are already up for sale in both digital and paperback, and hopefully all of them will be available in both formats by next weekend.

Here are the gorgeous new covers and the scoop on the new editions:

Book #1, Out of Her League: has been heavily revised, and I’m offering it for $0.99 until the end of the month. It’s basically still the same storyline, but stronger and tighter.

Book #2, Cover of Darkness: has not been changed at all, since my publisher still holds the rights and will continue to do so for several more years.

Book #3, No Turning Back: same story, only tighter.

Book #4, Relentless: ditto, although it’s not expected to be up at retail sites until late next week.

Book #5, Absolution: my favorite book of the series! I’ve tightened it and tweaked a few things. I love the cover image of Luke with his distinguished head of gray-streaked hair, and Em wearing her long wig while she faces her brave battle with breast cancer.

I hope you love this new look for the Suspense Series as much as I do! I’ll be holding a Facebook and Twitter party to celebrate the release of Rekindled in about 10 days, so stay tuned for more details!

Until then, happy reading.

Kaylea 🙂

Minecraft Madness

First off, a huge thank you to all my readers for their support of my Titanium Security Series! To be honest I’m kind of stunned at the reception the books have received so far–stunned in the best way possible :).

I’m slowly but surely making headway on Burned, Sean and Zahra’s story but of course with my boys home all summer I don’t have as much time at the computer as I do when they’re in school. I also promised both of them I’d make them each a quilt to fit their beds. My 9 year old wanted a Minecraft quilt so last week I got out a piece of graph paper and drew up the quilt top on it for a “creeper” design.

On Monday afternoon I took the boys with me to the fabric shop and bought all the material for the top, then I went home and got busy cutting and piecing. On Tuesday I went back for the border fabric and bought the backing, batting and binding material as well. I used a black “minkee” fabric for the backing, layered and quilted the whole thing and finally put on the binding. Hand stitching the binding onto the backing to finish on Thursday took almost as long as it did to make the quilt top, but I can say beyond doubt that this quilt was handmade with love.

Luckily, big weasel was thrilled with it. I told him even if Minecraft is no longer “the” thing when he goes off to college, too bad, he still has to take it with him :).

I’ll be starting little weasel’s quilt next week but first I’ve got to make a serious dent in the draft of Sean and Zahra’s story!
